The Volunteer of the Month is – JUDI NOOTBAAR
Where are you from? I was born and raised in Denver, went to college at CSU, and lived in many places in Colorado as my husband worked for Colorado State Parks. We have lived in Teller County since 1990 when he came to open Mueller State Park.
*What volunteer positions do you help with at TCRAS? I volunteer with Book Buddies.
*What do/did you do for a job/career? Most of my career I worked as a manager in a bank. I also worked for the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company for 6 years in the HR/Payroll departments and retired from there in July 2015.
*Do you have a family? Tell us about them. I am an only child and I have a husband of 31 years and all my kids are furbabies!
*What pets do you have? I have 2 dogs and a 17 year old cat who thinks he is 2 (except he is going deaf :-).My dogs are litter mates (sisters) and are lab/border collie mixes. One looks like a yellow lab and the other looks like a border collie! We went to their birthplace near Larkspur to get one puppy and three hours later we left with both! They were born on Valentines Day and will be 9 in 2017.
*What do you like to do for fun? We like to travel the US in our RV and take hikes with the dogs. I also like to read.
THANK YOU Judi for joining me at Book Buddies! I can always count on judi to be waiting for me to help unload the dogs! It is nice to see the progress in the students and we have become a little Book Buddy family. I know both the students and staff look forward to our visits
