“See Spot Run” - Vote Darwin for Mayor! Dear fellow community members of all species, big and small: I am dog-gone excited to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Divide in the upcoming Mayor of Divide 2020 election made by Teller County Regional Animal Shelter. As a Divide resident and icon for local business, My Life Unleashed, I have taken a role in various community events and consider myself to be an active part of the Teller County community. You may have spotted my performance during the grand opening of Golden Meadows Dog Park, at half-time in Woodland Park High School’s Mr. Panther, or in TCRAS’ most recent Open House event. I am an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Extraordinaire, as well as an ambassador for our canine youth entering the workforce as Service Dogs as they embark on the training necessary toward giving their handlers a chance at independence. The time has come for me to seek selected office. My platform; to ensure that my friends at Teller County Regional Animal Shelter are given a second chance at life. Despite any previous history or suffering our furry friends may have endured, it is through a trusted alliance with Teller County Regional Animal Shelter and My Life Unleashed that the residents of TCRAS have the best chance toward finding their fur-ever home. MLU provides an opportunity for pets in our community to develop positive long-term habits and behaviors, while promoting communication between them and their loving families. Furthermore, continuing to support shelter dogs in need, such as Chief the Great Pyrenees, and through the development of additional programs to come. As MLU plays their part toward giving animals in our community a second chance, TCRAS has the backing to continue effectively making strides toward their mission. Thank you for your support, Teller County. May the best pet win! Sincerely, Darwin the Dalmatian |
