Behavioral or Medical Assitance
Unwanted animal behavior is one of the top reasons animals are brought into shelters. Behaviors like chewing, excessive barking, reactivity, and escaping can all be hard to manage in a home without help. We want to try and help our community members establish a positive relationship with their pets through training and keep them in the home they love.
When you sign up for the Paw in Hand behavioral assistance and are approved, you will be given resources and some financial help with training, behavior modification, and tools to help you get started. We work with a wide range of trainers to help you find the one that best suits your needs and those of your pet.
Medical bills for animals can be challenging to keep up with, and in an emergency, they can be difficult to manage. We are here to help keep animals with the people who love them, especially if you are facing a medical concern.
When you sign up for the Paw in Hand Medical Assistance and are approved, there can be a portion of the medical bills covered if working with TCRAS. We don't want anyone to feel they have to give up their animal because of an emergency medical situation.

Paw in Hand Program
Our Paw in Hand Program is here to support the community and their animals. Here at TCRAS, it makes us happier when we can help an animal stay in a home, and out of the shelter. This program allows us to help with just that. This program is supported by a grant and does require an application to be approved. This is our way of supporting our community with the challenges that can come when you own a pet. This is to help any animal in the community, not just animals from TCRAS.
