Volunteer at TCRAS

Calling all animal lovers!
Here at TCRAS we have 100+ active volunteers and are always looking for people to add to our community. We have many different ways you can volunteer to help us continue our mission, Fostering Hope and New Beginnings. We could not support the 1,000 animals that come through our doors each year without our volunteers and we are so excited you are interested in volunteering with us.

Current Volunteers

Current Volunteers, please log in and track your hours, sign up for events, and see current information in the portal.
We appreciate your dedication.

How to Get Started

1.      Fill out the volunteer application to let us know you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
2.      Attend a New Volunteer Orientation. Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out and let you know when the next available orientation will be.
3.      Come into the shelter and get some one-on-one time to become comfortable with working in your area or event.

Our next volunteer orientation is on August 29th at 10:00 am at the TCRAS CARE House.

Become a Foster

Fostering animals allows that animal to grow in a home before they find their forever home. TCRAS will give foster homes the supplies they need, we just ask you to love and care for them. When an animal is in a foster home, it helps them have the hope for a new beginning, and allows other animals in need to have hope as well.

Volunteer of the Month

Sarah and Garet I.

Sarah and Garret have been inspirational foster parents and volunteers since 2020.

Since becoming foster parents and volunteers, they have opened their hearts and home to over 100 animals. This foster home is special because Sarah brings in both dogs and cats, kittens and puppies. The animals that go to live with Sarah and Garet become well-adjusted, spoiled, and ready for their new beginnings. Not only does Sarah foster, but she has also volunteered at events both big and small and is always willing to help where she can. We are grateful for Sarah and Garet for allowing so many animals to thrive in their care; we would not be able to help as many animals without volunteers and fosters like them!

Doggy Day Out

IMG_5203.jpeg

If you're just stopping in for a day trip or vacation, sign up for our doggy day out program to take a dog out of the shelter for a day of fun!

See more about the volunteer oportunities we have at TCRAS. We would not be able to provide all of the care for the animals and provide support to our community without our irriplacable volunteers.
