Volunteer of the Month
Andy S.
Andy has been a volunteer since 2023 and has jumped in feet first with the dogs. Andy is dedicated to working with some of the challenging dogs and helping with behavior modification to get them ready for adoption. She is also part of the behavior evaluation committee and mentors new volunteers who want to work with the dogs. Andy is dependable, spends many hours walking in almost every weather condition, and is eager to learn new techniques to support their care and enrichment. Thank you for loving our dogs and helping them get ready for their new beginning.

How to Get Started
1. Fill out the volunteer application to let us know you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
2. Attend a New Volunteer Orientation. Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out and let you know when the next available orientation will be.
3. Come into the shelter and get some one-on-one time to become comfortable with working in your area or event.
Our next volunteer orientation is on March 21st at 10:00 am at the TCRAS CARE House.
Become a Foster
Fostering animals allows that animal to grow in a home before they find their forever home. TCRAS will give foster homes the supplies they need, we just ask you to love and care for them. When an animal is in a foster home, it helps them have the hope for a new beginning, and allows other animals in need to have hope as well.

Here at TCRAS we have 100+ active volunteers and are always looking for people to add to our community. We have many different ways you can volunteer to help us continue our mission, Fostering Hope and New Beginnings. We could not support the 1,000 animals that come through our doors each year without our volunteers and we are so excited you are interested in volunteering with us.
