Michelle Guenther

Michelle Guenther joins the TCRAS Board with over 30 years of experience in
financial and operations management. A Colorado Springs native, Michelle holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from Colorado College and a Master of Arts in
Political Science and Russian Studies from Indiana University. She also earned the
title of Master Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue from the University of Virginia.

Michelle retired in 2025 as the Business Operations Director for El Paso County
Public Health. Prior to that, she served as Deputy Commissioner for Business Tax
Compliance at the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue in Loudoun County,
Virginia. Her professional journey has also taken her abroad, where she served as
Director of the American Community Association at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw,
Poland.

Beyond her career, Michelle is a passionate animal lover and lifelong advocate for
rescue and adoption. She and her husband, Steve, made Woodland Park their
forever home in December 2023. Deeply committed to community service, Michelle
is excited to contribute to the mission of the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter
and to support the well-being of animals across the region.
