Win Eckert
Board Member
Win is a Colorado Springs native and Air Force brat. He is a graduate of Palmer High
School and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he earned a
Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of
Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Win brings decades of legal and business experience to the TCRAS Board. His legal
background is in juvenile law and employment law; his business experience includes
software product management in the healthcare space, and leadership of a strategic
transformation initiative for a large IT department of a Fortune 150 telecommunications
company, through training, coaching, mentoring, and empowerment.
He currently co-runs a very small press publisher of science-fiction. He also writes
novels and short stories, along with other volunteer work.
After several decades away from the Springs area, including stints in Denver and
Louisiana, Win and his wife Lisa permanently settled in Woodland Park in 2022. A
lifelong animal lover, Win’s homes have always been filled with critter companions. Win
and Lisa have found Woodland Park to be a little slice of heaven, and he believes that
volunteering in the service of animals in the local community and Pikes Peak region is
the perfect way to give back.
Currently five furry family members have deigned to share their home with Win and
Lisa: Bullwinkle, an Australian Cattle Dog/Miniature Pinscher/Super-Mutt mix adopted
from a shelter in Louisiana; Dahlia, a German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd/Husky mix
adopted from a rescue in Texas; (Val)Kyrie, aka Kyrie, a full-bred Norwegian Forest Cat;
and Eomir and Eowyn, bonded-pair littermate Maine Coon kittens adopted from TCRAS
in February 2025.
