Rush is a 4 year old neutered male American Pit Bull Terrier (42%) - Staffordshire Terrier (23%) - Weimaraner (13%) - Chow Chow (9%) - German Shepherd (3%) - Labrador Retriever (3%) - Beagle (3%) - Chinese Shar-Pei (2%) - Redbone Coonhound (2%) who lives in Divide. Rush says "I love being outdoors. Plain and simple."
Get to know Rush a bit more: In June 2021, my wife & I decided it was time for our dog Rocky to get a buddy. It was very important to us that the dog we adopted would be a good fit for our family, and that we adopted from our local shelter in Divide. After meeting a couple dogs, one in particular caught our eye. A two-year-old dog named Rush. To ensure both dogs would get along TCRAS recommended a meet & greet with Rush & Rocky at the facility. It was very reassuring for us & both dogs, and from the moment the dogs laid eyes on each other they’ve been tight!
Click to see more about Rush. Before adopting him, we were told that he is an escape artist who had recently been returned because he kept climbing fences and getting out. This piqued our interest. In the past, we have always sought the dogs considered hard to adopt and felt a calling to do the same for Rush! Rush has gone from a hyperactive pup to a young adult eager to please. He enjoys going fishing, rough housing with his brother, and running through the woods! He has summitted Pikes Peak twice and is now ready to put forth that same drive & effort as Your Mayor of Divide. Fun Fact about Rush he wants you to know: When I was at TCRAS they called me the bucking bronco, and I still love bucking like that anytime I get a chance! I prefer sleeping alone in the Queen Bed in our 3rd bedroom.
