Paw in Hand Program
What is our Paw in Hand Program?
Our Paw in Hand Program is here to support the community and their animals. Here at TCRAS it makes us happier when we can help an animal stay in a home, and out of the shelter. This program allows us to help with just that. This program is supported by a grant and does require an application and to be approved. This is our way of supporting our community with the challenges that can come when you own a pet. This is to help any animal in the community, not just animals from TCRAS.
Behavioral AssistanceUnwanted animal behavior is one of the top reasons animals are brought into shelters. Behaviors like chewing, excessive barking, reactivity and escaping can all be hard to manage in a home without help. We want to try and help our community members build a positive relationship with their pet through training and keep them in the home they love.
When you sign up for the Paw in Hand behavioral assistance and are approved, you will be given resources and some financial help with training, behavior modification and tools to help you get started. We work with a wide range of trainers to help you find the trainer that will fit you and your pets needs. If you are interested in more information or to get signed up for this program please call us at 719-686-7707 or email us at [email protected]. Medical AssistanceMedical bills for animals can be hard to keep up with, and in an emergency can be hard to handle. We are here to help keep the animals with the people who love them if you are facing a medical concern.
When you sign up for the Paw in Hand Medical Assistance and are approved, there can be a portion of the medical bills covered if working with TCRAS. We don't want anyone to feel they have to give up their animal because of an emergency medical situation. If you are interested in more information or are needing assistance please call us at 719-686-7707, or email us at [email protected] |
